World Conference

Girl Guides of South Africa

The Girl Guides Association of South Africa (GGASA) is hosting the 33rd World Conference and is looking forward to meeting the participants and sharing their diverse cultures and foods. A group of girls from GGASA will be participating in a supporter’s camp and will assist delegates throughout the Conference.

Guiding started in South Africa in 1910. GGASA are one of the founder members of WAGGGS. It was in South Africa that Lord Baden-Powell first grew his vision of Scouting.

International Commissioner, Mrs Gill Ashlin, and National Headquarters’ staff (e-mail rose.ggasa@worldonline.co.za or info@ggasa.org.za) will be happy to answer any specific questions.

You can download the invitation from the Girl Guides Association of South Africa on the Resources section.
