World Conference

History of the World Conference

The first five World Conferences were held under the auspices of the International Council which developed to become the World Association in 1928.

There have been 32 World Conferences to date. Twenty have been held in the Europe Region; six in the Western Hemisphere Region; three in the Asia Pacific Region; two in the Arab Region and one in Africa.
